Cedarwood Connections

By the
Cedarwood Team

Hi everyone,

We’re so happy to share a couple of new ways to gather, connect, and spend time together here at Cedarwood.

Introducing: Family Stay & Play

Once a month, we’ll be opening up our space on a Friday for a relaxed, child-led afternoon in the forest. This is a time for families to come play in nature, and connect with others.

Children are free to explore the mud kitchen, loose parts, the stream, and all the other simple beauty the land has to offer.

Our Stay & Play is open to all families with children of any age, and it’s completely free to join.

If you’d like to attend, please email us to sign up. Join our mailing list to stay up-to-date with Stay and Play dates, times and announcements.

Cedarwood Community Book Club

We’re also opening our cabin doors once a month for a new book club! This group is for anyone curious about self-directed education, child-led learning, and rethinking childhood and education more broadly.

We’ll gather monthly to reflect, share perspectives, and chat about the book together. Bring a mug if you’d like to enjoy some tea. Nursing babies are always welcome!

The book club is free to join—just email us if you’d like more details or to sign up.

We’re looking forward to continuing to grow our Cedarwood Community. :)

Warm regards,

Laura & Brigitte
